5 Reasons Why 'Running Man' Is Everybody's Favourite Show

The variety show that single-handedly changed how we looked at name tags, Running Man is, without a doubt, one of the most successful Korean variety shows in the world. After all, what's there not to love? With cast members who boast great chemistry together, crazy antics and endless new challenges, here are 5 reasons why Running Man continues to hold a special place in everybody's hearts:

  1. You know them by their pet names (literally)
When someone mentions Giraffe, you instantly think of a 1.9 metre tall Korean model-turned-actor, Lee Kwang Soo, and not the leaf-eating variety. Oldest member, Ji Suk Jin, is also known as Impala for always falling prey to Tiger Kim Jong Kook. Nothing speaks of love like pet names and the Running Man cast is not short of them!

  2. You really want to rip that name tag
Admit it - Sometimes, you feel a twitch in your fingers upon seeing a name tag and feel a predatory wish to rip it. Running Man's reinvention of the Hide-and-Seek game has been one of the best things to happen and we can never get enough of it! While most of us would tremble if we saw Kim Jong Kook waiting for us at the end of a corridor, boy, wouldn't it be exciting to have a go at the game ourselves? #wevolunteerastribute

  3. Get your cray on!
No rules are sacred in Running Man and every member is willing to get down and dirty to win a game. With Lee Kwang Soo, Haha and Ji Suk Jin as the infamous Betrayers trio, and other cast members giving their all, there is never a dull moment in Running Man and you are constantly laughing out loud at their antics!

  4. Our favourite episode is...
Come on, you have to take your hats off to the producers and writers for the immense work they put in to keep up with the amazing cast! From themes such as Superpowers to Yoomes Bond to Cast-Versus-PD, they have given us some pretty memorable episodes that have got us laughing and crying…sometimes, at the same time! It's really hard to pick a favourite!

  5. You just gotta' love the cast
Let's face it. We love the cast. Their chemistry is unbeatable and some of the best episodes are those featuring their permanent members only. Their hilarious banter, jokes and pranks aside - you can tell that there is immense love and loyalty among the members.
