Running Man to Continue Airing with Six Original Cast Members

The wildly popular South Korean variety series Running Man has been revived for a continued run!

Since news of the show's cancellation broke late last year, brokenhearted fans have petitioned against its end, with many leaving heartfelt messages about how Running Man has been an important part of their lives over the past seven years.

Encouraged by the immense amount of support streaming in from all corners of the world, it was announced on 24 January that the production team has decided to continue the show with its current cast. The current cast consists of six of the original members: Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Lee Kwang Soo, Ji Suk Jin, and Song Ji Hyo.

The announcement on the show's cancellation came about after a divisive decision to drop Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo from the show's regular line-up. Fans reacted with disappointment and anger, leading to renewed discussions within the production team that ultimately resulted in the show being brought back.

On ONE, Running Man has long been one of the top programmes on the channel; in both Malaysia and Singapore, ONE is the number one pay TV channel during Running Man's premiere telecast slot on Fridays at 11pm. In Malaysia, the show has been and continues to be the top-rated programme not just on ONE, but also amongst the four Korean entertainment channels in the country.*

Fans can continue to watch the latest episodes of Running Man on ONE every Friday at 11pm, within one week of its Korean telecast. ONE also airs classic episodes of Running Man in a throwback slot every Saturday night at 11pm.
