When you hear the term "pretty boy", this actor immediately comes to mind. It's none other than Lee Joon Ki! Born in Busan, he moved to Seoul with nothing to his name but the dream of working in the entertainment industry after watching a performance of Hamlet in high school.

For the next couple of years, he worked several part-time jobs before he was finally accepted into the Seoul Institute of the Arts. He debuted as a model in 2001, and went on to appear in many music videos and CFs. Lee Joon Ki is credited as the original "flower boy" due to his portrayal of an effeminate clown in the 2005 movie The King and the Clown. In the same year, he debuted on the small screen with the drama My Girl that propelled him into the spotlight, making him one of the most popular actors in Asia. What's more, he'll be making his debut in Hollywood in the final instalment of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter!

Lee Joon Ki isn't just an accomplished actor with countless awards under his belt – did you know that he sings too? He has released several albums and has held fan concerts across Southeast Asia in countries like South Korea, China and Japan. Due to his unstoppable popularity overseas, he was also appointed as an ambassador for South Korea by the Korea Tourism Organisation in 2009.

Though Lee Joon Ki seems every bit a confident and successful actor at all times, he has previously admitted that he practices kiss scenes when he's home alone as he gets flustered sometimes! If you're wondering what it takes to be his sparring partner for these practice sessions (wink wink), Lee Joon Ki has mentioned that he likes strong and intelligent women. He has also declared that if he ever gets a girlfriend, he would never admit it publicly because he wants to protect his girlfriend from public scrutiny! Isn't that just swoon-worthy?
